Biography

Born in 1965 he had his whole education including dentistry in Ankara, Turkey. In October 1994 he has been awarded his Ph D degree with the topic "The Clinical Measurement of Stress & Strain Induced in Implant Fixtures and Abutments During the Fitting of a Cast Beam & During Application of Simulated Functional Loads". He has been granted as an Associate Professor in 1999 and a Professor in 2005.

Prof. Unsal is an active member of the European Association for Osseointegration, Osseder and EDAD (Turkish Association of Esthetic Dentistry).

Since June of 2012, he has been the Founding President of TFI (Together for Implantology), a dental implant platform. The aim of the organisation is to create a platform where the dental professionals can learn and share about implantology.

Prof. UNSAL is recently retired from the University of Ankara, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Prosthodontics. Currently, he is accepting his patients in his private clinic in Ankara, Turkey.
